The last time I came to Mallorca was as a six-year-old child. We spent our family holiday in a resort hotel; that was three decades ago in the nineties. I only know about it from what my mother told me, because I have no memory of it anymore. While the island has been something of a favorite place for many friends, we always went somewhere else. Mallorca? That is for others. But I was wrong. I misunderstood the island in all its diversity and only now discovered its beauty for myself. When we decided to spend ten days on the island at the end of November, I was not even sure if it was a good idea. Mallorca taught me otherwise.
