When I heard that Fiona and her contemporary dance company, Unfolding Shapes, were working on a new production called »In Vivo«, I asked her if she would mind if I documented one of their rehearsals. She was delighted by the idea, and after attending that first rehearsal in December 2024, I joined them for another rehearsal in February and also for the final rehearsal in April – just one day before the premiere. I captured different stages of the process. It was a new – and challenging – experience for me. On top, my camera struggled with the lighting conditions during the final rehearsal and the film itself was problematic, too. Yet, in the end, I was glad to have been part of this project. And I would do it again anytime.

Artist Christine Rehders was reponsible for the set design while sound designer Deaf Anthropologist contributed a sound piece.
